Michigan had a historic season in 2019 reaching the College World Series, and outfielder/designated hitter Jordan Nwogu was a big part of that success.

It was so sad to see him be helped off the field in Game 2 of the College World Series, and he was unable to come back in Game 3 with a leg injury.

As a freshman in 2018 he hit .349 with 28 runs scored, 8 doubles, 6 home runs, 29 RBI, and 11 stolen bases with a .442 OBP.

That summer he hit .310 in the Great Lakes Collegiate League with 16 runs, 4 home runs, 18 RBI, and 7 stolen bases in 84 at-bats.

He nearly doubled his numbers in 2019 with 55 runs scored, 13 doubles, 12 home runs, and 43 RBI to go along with a .327 average and .442 OBP.

Nwogu has a good combination of speed and power that pro scouts love. The biggest thing for him in his junior season will be finding a primary position. Will he be able to play a corner outfield spot at the next level, or is he a DH only?

There is no question that he can hit and that’s why he’ll be a high draft pick in the upcoming MLB Draft.
