I’m a little biased in this pick as I graduated from Auburn, but Will Holland has certainly earned the right to be ranked this high.

As a freshman in 2017 he hit just .209 over 134 at-bats with 23 runs scored, 7 doubles, 3 home runs, 18 RBI, 4 stolen bases, and a .299 on-base percentage.

He started to figure things out offensively that summer in the Perfect Game League by hitting .298 in 104 at-bats with 24 runs scored, 4 doubles, 1 home run, 13 RBI, 9 stolen bases, and a .409 on-base percentage.

That led to a breakout season as a sophomore for Holland hitting .313 over 249 at-bats with 61 runs scored, 18 doubles, 12 home runs, 52 RBI, 9 stolen bases, and a .406 on-base percentage.

This past summer he hit .341 in 44 at-bats in the Cape Cod League, while splitting time with the US Collegiate National team.

He’s a little shortstop at 5-foot-10, but he has the arm to stay at shortstop. Sill, he’s most likely a second baseman at the next level.

If he can keep up those power numbers as a junior he’ll retain his current first-round status.
