Parker Brahms might be one of the best kept secrets in college baseball after two incredible seasons at Sacramento State.  The 6-foot-3, 200 pound right-handed pitcher posted a 3.13 ERA as a freshman in 2017 with 63 strikeouts in 97.2 innings pitched.  Those numbers were good enough for him to be named the Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.  He followed that up with a 2.41 ERA as a sophomore with 113 strikeouts in 93 innings pitched.
Brahms’ WHIP his first two season has been 1.10 and 1.11 respectively. He has also been named to the Western Athletic All-Conference Team both years.  The one thing missing on his resume is a solid summer league performance. Some evaporators probably want to see him put up these numbers against better competition before spending a high draft pick on him.  At UCLA at the beginning of March might be his toughest matchup in 2019.  Last year he started the season by tossing six shutout innings against Washington. He also held down a powerful New Mexico State lineup to just one run over six innings in 2018.
