This is a bit of personal pick for me as I love shortstops, and I believe Cam Shepherd is going to be one those dudes.

The Boston Red Sox noticed that about him and drafted him in the 29th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, but instead, he went to Georiga.

He was a Freshman All-American in 2018 for Georgia after hitting .307 in 241 at-bats with 29 runs scored, 16 doubles, 5 home runs, 28 RBI, and a .354 on-base percentage.

As a sophomore, I think he had some bad luck with balls in play as he hit just .244, but all of his other numbers where there. He scored 42 runs in 221 at-bats with 12 doubles, 5 home runs, 37 RBI, and a .357 on-base percentage (which is actually higher than his freshman OBP).

When you watch the 6-foot-1, 185 pound Shepherd, he just looks like a leader out there at the shortstop position. He kind of reminds me of a Dansby Swanson type player.

He took a little step back offensively in 2018, but I think he bounces back for a big year in 2019 and will become known as one of the best shortstops in the country.
