Trevor Stringer#1 Lubbock Christian ended their regular season with a 7-1 lost to #12 Wayland Baptist, ending their winning streak at 38. Pioneer starter Trevor Stringer came up one out short of a complete-game shutout. The Pioneers led 1-0 going into the ninth inning, but scored six unearned runs in the top of the ninth. They defeated Saint Gregory’s 17-4 in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament in Plainview, TX. Their next game is against Oklahoma Baptist on Wednesday. Lubbock Christian games are webcast by the Texas Sports Radio Network.

#2 Lewis-Clark State coach Ed Cheff got his 1,600 win in the first game of a series at British Columbia. The Warriors swept the series in spite of a couple of good efforts by the Thunderbirds. An earlier game against Division I Gonzaga was rained out. The Warriors have won 15 straight. They host Oregon Tech on Friday and Saturday. Most L-C State games are webcast by KOZE Radio.

#3 Lee lost the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament to #16 Auburn-Montgomery, 10-7 in the final. The Flames lost to Faulkner earlier in the tournament. The Flames will host the Region XII tournament, which starts on May 6.

#4 Oklahoma City finished their regular season sweeping three games against Southern Nazarene. They defeated the U. of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 17-6 in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. The Stars have won 12 straight. Their next game is Wednesday against #12 Wayland Baptist.

#5 Azusa Pacific won their second straight Golden State Athletic Conference title by sweeping a double-header against #19 Biola 12-11 (11 innings) and 18-7. The Cougars had to come from behind in both games. They also got two wins against Westmont. They will host the Region II tournament, which starts on May 6.

#6 U. of the Cumberlands lost their first-round game in the Mid-South Conference tournament to Pikeville, but they won three straight in the consolation bracket, and will play Campbellsville for the championship on Thursday.

Kyle Albright#7 Embry-Riddle swept a double-header against Thomas, and the second game was mercy-ruled after five innings. They defeated Division II Rollins 8-7. Kyle Albright is hitting .335 for the Eagles, with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, and 47 RBI. The Eagles play at Florida Southern on Friday, and start the Region XIV tournament at Winter Haven, FL on Monday.

#8 U. of Mobile lost two of three to #20 LSU-Shreveport. They are hosting the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference tournament, and their first-round game is on Wednesday against Loyola-New Orleans.

#9 Spring Arbor defeated Great Lakes Christian 29-0, and Albion 9-2. They have won 11 straight. Their first-round game in the Mid-Central College Conference is Wednesday, against Saint Francis (IN).

#10 Fresno Pacific swept a double-header at San Diego Christian, and split two games against #19 Biola. Next for the Sunbirds is the Region II tournament starting on May 6.

#11 Tennessee Wesleyan split a double-header at King College. They play Bryan in the first round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament at Kingsport, TN on Wednesday.

#12 Wayland Baptist won one of three against #1 Lubbock Christian (see above). They are hosting the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. They defeated Southern Nazarene 12-6 in the first round. Their next game is against #4 Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

    A couple of updates:

    Lubbock Christian won the Sooner Athletic Conference title. They defeated Oklahoma Baptist 17-7 in the final, and this game was mercy-ruled after eight innings.

    The Chaps took out #4 Oklahoma City 15-9 earlier in the tournament. The Region VI “Tournament of Death” starts on Tuesday.

    Unranked Campbellsville was the upset winner of the Mid-South Conference tournament, defeating #6 U. of the Cumberlands 5-1 in the final.

    #10 Spring Arbor lost the Mid-Central College Conference championship to unranked Huntington, 14-9 in the final. The field for the Region VIII tournament will be Huntington, Spring Arbor, #24 Madonna, and Indiana Tech.
