TOLEDO, OH – Toledo will compete in 56 games over the course of its 2009 season, Head Baseball Coach Cory Mee announced today. Seventeen of the games will take place at Scott Park. The Rockets are 36-25 (.590) at home over the last three seasons.

UT will again face a challenging non-league schedule against some of the nation’s elite conferences. Contests against teams from the Big Ten, Big East, Atlantic 10, Horizon League and Sun Belt highlight the non-conference games.

TOLEDO, OH – The University of Toledo baseball program has signed four recruits for the 2009-10 season, head coach Cory Mee announced today.

Joining the Rockets in the fall of 2009 will be Michael Hamann (Port Clinton, OH – Danbury), Chris Hundley (Cincinnati, OH – Colerain), Jared Locke (Dundee, MI – Ida) and Andy Mix (Baltimore, OH – Liberty Union).

Toledo’s Cory Mee recently sat down with the official Toledo Rockets website to talk about the fall baseball season. He focuses on how the coaching staff evaluted the fall workouts focusing on pitching, defense, and clutch hitting. The biggest problem for Toledo the last few years has been the depth of the pitching staff which returns 11 letterwinners with five incoming freshmen to have some depth. Mid-Week Game Notes

We have some interesting Mid-Week games coming up on Tuesday which is highlighted by Clemson and Georgia playing a home and home series. The College of Charleston will play against cross town rival Charleston Southern while Alabama will play two games against UAB, Ohio State plays Toledo, Coastal Carolina will play against Wake Forest and Elon.
