LOS ANGELES — In a big time Pac-12 conference matchup between the No. 12 UCLA Bruins and the No. 13 Stanford Cardinal, the Cardinal took the rubber match Sunday afternoon 7-2 for the series win at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
After UCLA (28-12, 12-9) took an early 2-0 lead, Stanford (28-11, 10-8) used a six-run fifth inning for the come-from-behind victory. Once it secured the lead, the Cardinal never relinquished thanks to five strong innings of relief from Sahil Bloom, who allowed only two hits enroute to his second win of the season.
