Canisius’ Siddall getting support from his Griffs

Canisius sophomore Brett Siddall had a strong freshman season but what he had to overcome before his freshman season was outstanding. Siddall’s youngest brother Kevin was fighting with non-Hodgkins lymphoma which he eventually would lose his battle with six months after being diagnosed. Canisius releases 2014 Schedule

MikeMcRaeCanisiusCoach Mike McRae has announced the 2014 schedule for the Canisius baseball program, which features 56 games against 24 opponents and ties a program-record with 21 contests at the Demske Sports Complex.

For the fifth consecutive season, Canisius will open the season at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C. This year’s four-game series will start against Albany on Feb. 14, and also include games against Saint Joseph’s, Butler and Michigan State. The Griffs will play non-conference series at Charlotte, East Tennessee State and Norfolk State before playing in the Flyer Classic against Miami University and Dayton on March 15-16. Manhattan releases 2014 Schedule

ManhattanFieldRIVERDALE, N.Y. – The 2014 Manhattan College baseball schedule is out and features three NCAA Tournament teams from last year among the 53 regular season contests for the Jaspers.

BOCA RATON, FL – Florida Atlantic University’s baseball team, ranked No. 23 nationally by Baseball America, used the strong arm Austin Gomber, who moved to 8-4 on the season, and the hot bats of seniors Nathan Pittman and Corey Keller to defeat Canisius 14-6 in Saturday’s elimination game of the Chapel Hill NCAA Tournament.
