Penn names John Yurkow as Head Coach

YurkowPennPHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s Director of Athletics, Steven J. Bilsky W’71, has announced the promotion of John Yurkow to the position of W. Joseph Blood Head Coach of Baseball.

Yurkow has spent the last seven seasons as the Quakers’ top assistant coach. In that position, his duties have included handling all aspects of recruiting, hitting instruction, infield instruction, and coaching third base. Continue reading Penn names John Yurkow as Head Coach

Cal State Fullerton 6, Arizona State 1

Thomas Eshelman followed suit and dominated on the mound for Cal State Fullerton as the Titans (51-8) punched their ticket to the Super Regionals with a 6-1 victory over Arizona State Sunday evening at Goodwin Field.

Eshelman just did what Grahamm Wiest and Justin Garza did ahead of him on Friday and Saturday, securing a three-game sweep of the Fullerton (CA) Regional. The Titans advance to the Sweet 16 of college baseball, the Super Regionals. They will host UCLA next weekend beginning Friday at 4 p.m. with games scheduled Saturday at 7 p.m. and, if necessary, Sunday at 7 p.m. as well. 2013 Fullerton NCAA Regional Day 2 Recap

FULLERTON, CA — On Friday evening at Goodwin Field the Cal State Fullerton Titans (48-8) hosted the Columbia University Lions (27-19) in the teams’ debuts at the Fullerton Regional.  Fullerton starter Grahamm Wiest threw a complete game and got the win as the Titans took the first game in a 4-1 victory on home turf.

Harvard releases 2013 Schedule

HarvardCelebrationCAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2013 Harvard baseball schedule has been released and is available for viewing. First-year head coach Bill Decker and the Crimson will play a 40-game regular season schedule beginning March 1.

Dartmouth releases 2013 Schedule

Columbia releases 2013 Schedule
