CSTV Articles

CSTV has posted two articles on College Baseball. The first article deals with how Paul Mainieri (LSU) and Chad Kreuter (USC) are dealing with the intense pressure put on them at their respective schools. I believe both guys will be winners at each school since Mainieri had some major success at Notre Dame. The full article is available here.

The other article deals with how the transfer rules in college baseball are different then some other collegiate sports. The article really deals with Paul Mainieri in both occasions since he released Jarred Bogany from his scholarship and scooped up Charlie Furbush from St. Joseph’s of Maine. UAB preview

Conference USA has posted a preview on the UAB Blazers. They enter the season with a new head coach in Brian Shoop who comes from Birmingham-Southern where he had a record of 692-307-1. He returns 21 letter winners with 4 transfers from Birmingham-Southern in addition to the 11 newcomers from the high school and junior college ranks. The full preview is available here.

Schrage named new head coach at ND

Dave Schrage has taken over the Notre Dame program effective immediately. He comes from University of Evansville where he brought the team to the Regional Final this past season. He compiled a 130-108 record in four seasons and has been the head coach previously at Northern Illinois and Northern Iowa. Full Press Release is available here.
