2014 Top 100 Players Countdown: 82. Lukas Schiraldi (Texas)

College Baseball Daily kicks off our countdown to the start of the 2014 College Baseball season by checking in on the top 100 players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the list today at number 82 with University of Texas RHP Lukas Schiraldi. Before fully committing to the Longhorns staff, Schiraldi pitched at Navarro College where he dominated the Region XIV Athletic Conference in the NJCAA. Son of former Longhorn ace Calvin Schiraldi, Lukas has followed in his father’s footsteps and looks forward to potentially playing as a career. During his sophomore season with the Bulldogs, Schiraldi went 9-2 with a 2.84 ERA. In 76 IP the righty was able to strikeout 67 and quickly became a player to watch.

2014 Top 100 Players Countdown: 90. Drew Jackson (Stanford)

College Baseball Daily kicks off our countdown to the start of the 2014 College Baseball season by checking in on the top 100 players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today at number 90 with Stanford infielder Drew Jackson. As a freshman, Jackson made only 24 starts for the Cardinals and posted a .207 BA with 17 hits and 4 RBI. He singled in his first career game at Rice and proved to be a key role in wins against Texas and Arizona. Continue reading
