UAB releases 2010 Schedule


UAB2010Schedule BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The UAB baseball program has announced its 2010 schedule, which features 33 home games, seven opponents that played in the 2009 NCAA tournament and two that competed in last year’s College World Series.

The non-conference portion of the schedule is highlighted by a challenging trip to San Diego, Calif., for the San Diego State Invitational (March 11-14). The event features matchups against some of college baseball’s most successful programs in San Diego, Fresno State, San Diego State and Cal State Fullerton.

Illinois-Chicago releases 2010 Schedule


UIC2010Schedule CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team unveiled its 2010 schedule today with a season-opening trip to Cary N.C. for two games apiece against LeMoyne and Canisius to begin another challenging slate for the eight-time defending Horizon League champion Flames.

UIC’s campaign begins a month from now against LeMoyne on Friday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Cary, N.C. The Flames will also face the Dolphins on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 9:00 a.m. In between, UIC will play a doubleheader against Canisius on Saturday, Feb. 20 beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Purdue releases 2010 Schedule


Matt Bischoff Purdue WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue baseball team will open its 2010 schedule at the second annual Big Ten/Big East Challenge in St. Petersburg and Clearwater, Fla., and host 23 games in West Lafayette over the course of the spring.

Including the trip to Florida, the Boilermakers will begin the season on a 15-game road swing that will take them Carbondale, Ill., to face Southern Illinois, Evansville, Ind., to play three different teams at a neutral venue, Richmond, Ky., to square off against Eastern Kentucky and finally Athens, Ohio, to face the Bobcats of Ohio University.

South Alabama releases 2010 Baseball Schedule


SteveKittrellUSA MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama baseball head coach Steve Kittrell announced the Jags’ 2010 regular season schedule Wednesday afternoon. The 56-game slate features 32 home games, including the 25th annual South Alabama Classic.

"I think it’s a very competitive non-conference schedule, and it should prepare us for Sun Belt Conference play, which is getting better every year," Kittrell said. "We’re excited about the challenges ahead and look forward to starting practice on Jan. 29."

Western Illinois releases 2010 Schedule


WesternIllinois MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois head baseball coach Mike Villano announced the 2010 baseball schedule, Thursday, Dec. 17.

The Fighting Leathernecks will face three opponents who participated in the 2009 NCAA Baseball Tournament including last year’s Big XII runner-up, the Oklahoma Sooners. Western’s schedule also features four teams ranked in the top 50 of the 2010 preseason RPI including the Sooners (22), Oklahoma State (25), Oral Roberts (32) and Missouri (33).

"It’s a challenging schedule, and we’re going to face some great competition that will really test us," said OSU head coach Frank Anderson, who is entering his seventh season with the Cowboys. "We continue to upgrade our schedule, and this schedule will be one of the toughest we’ve had and one that should allow us to do well in the RPI."

Austin Peay releases 2010 Schedule


AustinPeay2010SCHEDULE CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Opening day is 64 days away as Austin Peay State University baseball head coach Gary McClure unveiled his 2010 schedule, Wednesday.

Austin Peay will play 12 games against teams that played in last season’s NCAA tournament, including a two-game set, March 9-10, at Mississippi, which reached the NCAA Super Regionals. Also on the slate at home-and-away series against Western Kentucky (No. 23) and Vanderbilt (No. 29), who both joined Mississippi (No. 12) as teams ranked in 2009’s final Collegiate Baseball poll.

Campbell releases 2010 Schedule


Campbell2010Schedule BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Games against in-state rivals East Carolina, UNC Wilmington, and NC State, a matchup with 2009 regional opponent, Xavier University, and a 27-game conference schedule highlight the 2010 spring schedule for the Fighting Camels baseball squad.

This schedule marks the third in the tenure of Greg Goff but it promises to be one of the most challenging since his arrival in Buies Creek previous to the 2008 campaign. Campbell will face off against 21 different teams during the spring, with these teams having won a combined 516 contests during the 2009 season.

Holy Cross releases 2010 Schedule

The squad will play in 51 total games beginning in late February, starting on the road for 10 contests before hosting Quinnipiac at Fitton Field on March 20.
