NCBWA Announces Finalist For 2011 Stopper of the Year Award

Wichita, Kan. (NCBWA) — Five of college baseball’s top relief specialists have been selected as finalists for the seventh annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, the NCBWA announced Tuesday.

This year’s finalists include NCAA saves leaders Kyle McMillen of Kent State and Bo Reeder of East Tennessee State, along with Branden Kline of Virginia, Corey Knebel of Texas and Matt Price of South Carolina.

NCBWA Names Pro-Line Athletic National Players of the Week (May 10th)

MORGANTOWN, W.Va - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA)­ released the Pro-Line Athletic National Player of the Week awards for the period ending May 8, today. Michigan State senior 1B Jeff Holm was named National Hitter of the Week, while Kentucky junior RHP Alex Meyer and Texas State junior RHP Carson Smith were named Co-National Hitters of the Week. 2011 John Olerud Award Watch List
