Appalachian State releases 2013 Schedule

ApplachinStateBaseballBOONE, N.C. — Defending Southern Conference champion Appalachian State University baseball unveiled its 2013 schedule on Wednesday. The 2013 slate includes 26 home games at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium, where Appalachian State was 24-2 last season and is 84-26-1 since 2009.

Appalachian State opens the season Feb. 15-17 with a three-game series at NC State, which is the first of 10 games that Appalachian is set to play against teams that, like the Mountaineers, advanced to NCAA postseason play in 2012. Read the rest of this entry »

Elon releases 2013 Schedule

Highlighting the upcoming slate will be contests against North Carolina, NC State, Kentucky and a three-game series at Louisville. The Citadel releases 2013 Schedule

Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel head coach Fred Jordan has announced the 2013 baseball schedule, a slate that includes 31 home games and 15 contests against schools that qualified for the 2012 NCAA tournament.

The schedule includes the traditional home-and-home series against South Carolina (March 19 in Charleston and April 9 in Columbia) and road contests against perennial ACC powers Georgia Tech (March 26) and North Carolina (May 1). Read the rest of this entry »

Davidson Baseball Coach Dick Cooke Critically Injured

Davidson baseball coach Dick Cooke was seriously injured in a car accident on Tuesday night according to a report by WBTV.com. The report states Cooke was driving Interstate 77 in Charlotte, NC which sent two vehicles off the road including Cooke’s into a wooded area. Cooke was reportedly struck from behind from the speeding vehicle which caused him to lose control of his car. Read the rest of this entry »
