Delaware State releases 2013 Schedule

J.P.BlandinDelawareState_thumb.jpgDover, Del. – Delaware State University has announced its baseball schedule for the 2013 season. The Hornets’ 51-game regular season slate will include 25 contests at Soldier Field on the DSU campus.

Delaware State will open the 2013 season with a four-game series at UNC-Charlotte Feb. 15-17. The following weekend, the Hornets will compete in the Rock Hill Coca Cola Classic, hosted by Winthrop University in South Carolina. In addition to Winthrop, DSU is scheduled to face Eastern Kentucky and Army in the tournament. Continue reading

Bethune-Cookman announces 2013 Schedule

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Head Baseball Coach Jason Beverlin released the Wildcats’ 2013 schedule on Mon., Dec. 3.

Bethune-Cookman’s 55-game regular season schedule includes 20 games in the friendly confines of Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and features seven games facing 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, each finishing the campaign ranked in the top 40. Continue reading

NC Central releases 2013 Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University baseball program has announced its 2013 slate highlighted by 34 contests inside the friendly confines of the Durham Athletic Park and only 19 games away from the Bull City as the Eagles look improve upon it second place finish in the MEAC’s Southern Division in 2012. 2012 CBD Mid-Major Poll (May 28th)

Purdue (44-12) ends the 2012 regular season as the #1 Mid-Major. The Boilermakers will make their first NCAA appearance since 1987 and will host (Gary, Indiana) a regional as announced Sunday. Purdue went 3-0 on their way to winning the Big 10 tourney title with a win over Ohio St and two wins over Indiana including a 6-5 win in the title game. Continue reading

2012 CBD Mid Major Poll (April 23rd)

Purdue (31-6) remains on top for 4th consecutive week. The Boilermakers won 12-2 at Illinois-Chicago Wednesday before they traveled to Nebraska in the Big 10 series of year to date. Purdue took game 1 Friday 8-5 and Nebraska evened series Saturday with an 8-3 win. Purdue won the series with an 8-3 win of their own on Sunday. With the series win Purdue sits in first place in Big 10, 3 ½ games ahead of Michigan St and Minnesota, at 12-3. According to warrennolan.com Purdue’s RPI is 11 which have them in very good position to host a regional. They can add to that resume in the next 2 weeks when they host Michigan St and then travel to UCLA for 3 game series May 5th-6th. Continue reading
