NCAA Regional Projections (May 21)

In this week’s regional projections from The College Baseball Blog, the top six national seeds remain unchanged.  The LSU Tigers keep their top national seed after finishing the regular season as the SEC co-champion.  Texas, UC Irvine, North Carolina, Cal State Fullerton, and Arizona State maintain the two through six seeds respectively.  Continue reading

NCAA Regional Projections (May 14th)

This week’s regional projections from The College Baseball Blog have a new team in the top national seed spot.  The LSU Tigers take over the number one national seed.  The Tigers are currently the leaders in the SEC and have won eight of their last ten games.

Texas jumps into the number two position after a weekend series victory over rival Texas A&M.  Continue reading

NCAA Regional Projections (May 7)

North Carolina once again holds the top overall national seed in this week’s edition of The College Baseball Blog’s NCAA Regional Projections.  The Tar Heels had last weekend off, but they still hold on to the top spot in the RPI according to Boyd’s World.  A conference series against in-state rival North Carolina State is next up for the Tar Heels. NCAA Regional Projections (April 30)

For the second week in a row, North Carolina takes the top overall national seed in The College Baseball Blog’s Regional Projections.  The Tar Heels are in first place in the ACC, and have the top overall RPI according to Boyd’s World.

Rice stays put with the second overall national seed followed by Arizona State, UC Irvine, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Georgia, and Texas respectively. Continue reading

NCAA Regional Projections (April 16)

For the third straight week, Cal State Fullerton takes the top overall seed in the CBB projections.  The Titans currently hold the top overall RPI, ISR, and strength of schedule.  They also have an impressive 21-8 record against the RPI top 100.

Rice takes over the second overall seed, followed in order by Arkansas, UC Irvine, Miami (FL), North Carolina, LSU, and Georgia Tech. Continue reading

NCAA Regional Projections (April 2)

09regionalprojections_lgWith almost all the conference seasons underway, every team has their eye on a conference championship and a spot in the NCAA tournament. The CBB will be projecting the field each Thursday from now until the field is announced.

Cal State Fullerton takes the top national seed in the first edition of the CBB NCAA regional projections. The Titans have the top overall RPI and have compiled an impressive 18-4 record with the nation’s toughest strength of schedule. The rest of the national seeds, in order, are as follows: Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), Arkansas, Rice, LSU, Arizona State, and North Carolina. Continue reading

Who is going to make 2009 CWS?

Aaron Fitt of Baseball America has put out his predictions for the 2009 College World Series. He expects two teams from the ACC in Miami (FL) and North Carolina to make it back to Omaha after strong 2008 campaigns. He has three teams from the West Coast to make it to the College World Series in Cal-State Fullerton, Oregon State, and the University of San Diego. Aaron expects Big 12 rivals Texas and Texas A&M to make it back to the big stage after subpar 2008 campaigns. Continue reading
