Texas releases 2013 Schedule

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas Baseball program announced its 2013 regular-season schedule today. After the Alumni Game on Saturday (Feb. 2) at 2 p.m., the Longhorns will open the regular season at UFCU Disch-Falk Field with a series against Sacramento State on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 6:30 p.m.

The schedule features eight opponents that competed in the NCAA Tournament last year. Texas will host Sacramento State, Nebraska and UC Santa Barbara in non-conference series while playing non-conference series on the road at Stanford and Minnesota.

The Longhorns open Big 12 play against Texas Tech at home (March 15-17) with home conference series against Oklahoma (April 5-7), West Virginia (April 19-21) and Kansas State (May 3-5). Road conference series will be at Oklahoma State (March 28-30), Kansas (April 12-14) and TCU (May 16-18). Texas will host Baylor on April 26 before playing two games in Waco on April 27 and 28.

Non-conference home games will take place against UT Arlington (Feb. 19), Sam Houston State (Feb. 26), UT Pan American (March 5 and April 16), Oral Roberts (March 12), Texas State (March 26), Houston (April 23), Prairie View A&M (April 30) and a doubleheader against Texas Southern (May 11).

The 2013 Big 12 Tournament will take place from May 22-26 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
