MOBILE, Ala. – Four NCAA Regional participants from a year ago, including one that reached the College World Series, highlight the University of South Alabama baseball 2013 schedule.

The Jaguars will play three of their first four non-conference series – and their first seven games – at Stanky Field beginning with Stephen F. Austin (Feb.15-17) to kick off the season, followed by a midweek contest against Alabama State (Feb. 20).

USA will then host former Sun Belt Conference member New Orleans (Feb. 22-24) in a three-game set before embarking on a week-long road trip that will carry the Jags to Jacksonville State (Feb. 26-27) for two midweek games then to College of Charleston (March 1-3), a 2012 NCAA Regional participant, for a three-game weekend series.

South Alabama will cap a six-game road swing at Nicholls State (March 5) before it returns to Stanky Field to host Southern Mississippi (March 6) the following night. The Jags will host North Florida (March 8-10) in a three-game set, followed by a midweek matchup at Alabama State (March 12).

USA opens up SBC play the following weekend at Troy (March 15-17), then heads to Southeastern Louisiana (March 19) before it hosts UALR (March 22-24) in its SBC home opener.

South Alabama will travel to Southern Mississippi (March 26) before heading to Florida Atlantic (March 29-31) for the second consecutive season for a three-game SBC series.

The Jaguars will open a six-game home stand on April 2 when they host Mississippi State – a 2012 NCAA Regional participant – followed by an April 3 matchup with Southeastern Louisiana (March 19).

USA will then host Florida International (April 5-7) in what will be the schools’ final SBC series with FIU moving to Conference USA next year. South Alabama will host Nicholls State (April 9) to close the home stand.

The Jags then face a four-game road swing with a three-game set at Arkansas State (April 12-14), followed by a midweek contest at Florida State (April 16) – a 2012 College World Series participant. The matchup with Florida State will mark the first time the schools have met since 2006 and will represent the 64th time the teams have met in a series that dates back to 1969.

South Alabama will kick off a five-game home stand when it hosts Western Kentucky (April 19-21), followed by a two-game midweek matchup with Jacksonville State (April 23-24).

USA will return to Louisiana-Monroe (April 26-28) for the second consecutive season. The Jags swept the Warhawks in a three-game set in Monroe last year before ULM won the SBC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Regional in Baton Rouge, La.

South Alabama will close conference play with two of its final three SBC series at Stanky Field. The Jags host Middle Tennessee (May 3-5) before heading to Louisiana-Lafayette (May 10-12) for a three-game set. USA will conclude its regular season schedule when it hosts Troy (May 16-18) at Stanky Field.

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held in Lafayette, La., May 22-25.
