  • Matt Barnes from UConn bounced back from a bad start last week by pitching eight strong innings giving up only one run on three hits and 10 strikeouts as the Huskies defeated South Florida 2-1.
  • East Tennessee State picked up their second straight victory over NC State on Saturday by a score of 2-0. ETSU was led by sophomore RHP Derek Bushey who tossed a two hit complete game shutout for the Bucs. The win was the school’s eighth straight which is only one short of the school record of nine.
  • Dartmouth and Princeton split the first two games of the Ivy League Championship series as it sets up a winner take all Game 3 on Sunday. Dartmouth will be looking to clinch their third straight Ivy League championship.

Why shouldn’t the Pirates take Bauer number 1? I LOVE this kid! n

Injury concerns is the biggest reason. The kid has never gotten through an entire year of college without getting a major injury to his ankle.rnrnGerrit Cole is a special pitcher and I would pick him over Rendon right now!rnSent on the Sprintu00ae Now Network from my BlackBerryu00ae

Bauer has never had an injury in his career let alone an ankle injury. Clarify that you meant Rendonn

Bauer doesn’t have the “prototypical” pro body that is what scares me but he is very talented like Lincecum. @MarkRafferty:disqus would know more on this then me with Bauer
