- Trevor Bauer dominated Oregon on Saturday evening by striking out 12 batters while allowing only four hits and a run as the UCLA Bruins defeated the Ducks 3-1. Bauer is now 9-2 with an ERA of 1.43. He has struck out an astounding 154 batters in 100.2 innings pitched.
- Matt Barnes from UConn bounced back from a bad start last week by pitching eight strong innings giving up only one run on three hits and 10 strikeouts as the Huskies defeated South Florida 2-1.
- East Tennessee State picked up their second straight victory over NC State on Saturday by a score of 2-0. ETSU was led by sophomore RHP Derek Bushey who tossed a two hit complete game shutout for the Bucs. The win was the school’s eighth straight which is only one short of the school record of nine.
- Dartmouth and Princeton split the first two games of the Ivy League Championship series as it sets up a winner take all Game 3 on Sunday. Dartmouth will be looking to clinch their third straight Ivy League championship.
