  • Congrats to Quinnipiac junior Kyle Birdsall for throwing a seven-inning no-hitter, the first in school history, as the Quinnipiac baseball team defeated Monmouth, 6-0, in the first game of a Northeast Conference doubleheader. He ended up walking only one batter while striking out 12.
  • The Virginia Cavaliers continue to show that they are one of the elite teams in the country as picked up an emphatic 12-9 victory over Georgia Tech. The win was the Cavs second straight over the Yellow Jackets and clinches the series for them. They were led on Saturday by John Barr and John Hicks who each went 3-5 with Barr driving in three runs while Hicks drove in two.
  • Oregon State took the second game of their series 7-6 against Arizona State to claim the series with the Sun Devils. Brian Stamps got the game winning RBI by drawing a bases-loaded walk off of Mitchell Lambson with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
  • James McCann hit a three run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth as the Arkansas Razorbacks rallied from a 3-0 ninth inning deficit to defeat LSU for the straight game. The loss by LSU drops the Tigers SEC record to 3-8 on the season while the win puts Arkansas at 5-6.
