Baseball Hall of Famer and current San Diego State head coach has Parotid cancer and will start treatment soon. The cancer is considered curable and is a relatively slow moving cancer according to a report in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Tony believes that his use of chewing tobacco has contributed to the cancer. He is expected to be back on the bench in the spring.
