San Diego State releases 2011 Schedule

SDSUStadium The San Diego State Aztecs recently released their 2011 Baseball Schedule which features many key matchups.

They will open the season February 18th when they face off against Winthrop University. The following day, they will face off against San Diego or Vanderbilt before ending the weekend with another game against Winthrop.


After playing a mid-week game against Big West foe UC-Irvine, they will play crosstown rival San Diego for a three game series. The opener will be hosted by the Aztecs on February 25th before shifting over to the University of San Diego on the 26th and 27th. They will finish the week with a mid-week game against CWS finalist UCLA.

The next weekend on March 3rd they will host three teams over four days facing off against Oklahoma (March 3rd and 6th), Cal (March 4th), and San Diego (March 5th). The following weekend will be the marquee non-conference weekend when they host Arkansas for three games while facing off against UConn once.

They will open up conference play on March 18th when they host New Mexico for a three game series. They will also welcome Utah (April 8th-10th), TCU (April 15th-17th), and BYU (May 12th-14th).

The Aztecs first conference road series is on March 24th when they visit Provo Utah to take on the BYU Cougars. They will also head to Air Force (April 21st-23rd), Urah (May 6th-8th), and UNLV (May 19th-21st).

SDSU will host the Mountain West Tournament starting on May 24th as they look to get the conference’s automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Tourney.
