Greg Moore resigns at Washington; Heads back to San Francisco

FROM CBB NEWS SOURCE

GregMooreUSF SEATTLE – Greg Moore, who served as the pitching coach for the Washington Huskies during the 2010 season, has resigned his position to become the associate head coach at the University of San Francisco.

Moore was hired by Husky head coach Lindsay Meggs shortly after Meggs was named head coach in the summer of 2009. He came to the UW from the University of San Francisco, where he’d also served as pitching coach.

"I’m happy for Greg," Coach Meggs said. "While it certainly caught me off guard, when Greg broke it down for me it made sense. It was a family decision and I understand that. I wish him and his wife Taryn the best of luck back home in California. As for Husky Baseball and the future of our pitching staff, my phone is already ringing off the hook."

A search for Moore’s replacement will begin immediately.
