FROM CBB NEWS SOURCE

URISigningDays KINGSTON, R.I. – Head coach Jim Foster has announced that seven student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Rhode Island baseball program, beginning in the fall of 2010.

"This group is part of a very talented class which we feel is one of the best classes to ever sign at URI. All of these guys were recruited by top national programs. They are good student-athletes from good families. They’re hungry to get better, not afraid to work and have a ton of upside. We have filled our needs with some young talented position players and some top quality arms that will make an impact early on. I really do believe that these guys will be a huge part of our success and will help us make future runs at Atlantic 10 Championship, regional appearances and the ultimate goal of getting to the College World Series in Omaha."
