College of Charleston Fall World Series starts Friday

JoeyBergmanCoC The College of Charleston baseball team will host its annual Fall World Series this weekend at Patriots Point Stadium. 

Charleston, which is led by second-year head coach Monte Lee, finished 35-22 last season.  The Cougars return last season’s Southern Conference Player of the Year Joey Bergman.  Bergman hit .452 with 15 homers and 57 runs batted in.  Other returnees include DH Ryan Daniels (.363, 10 hr, 64 RBI) and former Wando standout CF Cole Rakar (.317, 12 hr, 46 RBI). 

The Cougars also return starting pitcher David Peterson (7-3), as well as, Aaron Bouronich (4-1), Owen Brittle (3 saves), Robert Jeroszko (3-0), Tom Schiller (4-2), Nick Osterman (2-1, Kevin Decker (3-1) and Casey Lucchese (1-2).

Game 1 — Friday, Oct. 16th, 6:00
Game 2 — Saturday, Oct. 17th, 1:00
Game 3 — Sunday, Oct. 18th, 1:00
