Oakland releases 2010 Slate

JohnMusachioOakland ROCHESTER, Mich. – A season opening series at defending Southeastern Conference champion Ole Miss, who finished the 2009 season ranked No. 11 in the USA TODAY/ESPN Top-25 poll, along with series at Memphis, Michigan State, and Xavier, and a single game at Notre Dame highlight the non-league portion of the 2010 Oakland University baseball schedule, released on Tuesday.

"We are excited about the challenging non-conference schedule for 2010," said head coach John Musachio. "We have a very young team that will be put to the test, especially early. The Summit League portion of the schedule will open on Friday, April 9, as the Golden Grizzlies travel to Tulsa, Okla. for a four-game set at 12-time defending league champion Oral Roberts. League opponents visiting the OU Baseball Field this season will be South Dakota State, Centenary, IPFW, and Southern Utah.

The season opener at Ole Miss will be played on Friday, Feb. 26 at Oxford/University Stadium.
