Adam Eaton, Miami, Right Fielder
Sophomore, Springfield, Ohio (Kenton Ridge)

Eaton led Miami to a weekend sweep of Buffalo in which the RedHawks scored 44 runs. The sophomore homered twice in game two of the series (game one of Saturday’s doubleheader) and scored four runs while driving in three runs. Eaton finished the week batting .500 (10-for-20), two homeruns, two triples, eight RBI’s and 10 runs scored.

MAC East Division Pitcher of the Week
Jordan Jankowski, Miami
Freshman, McMurray, Pa. (Peters Township)

Jankowski put together a solid week for the RedHawks and picked up a save and a win in Saturday’s double header against Buffalo. In game one Miami led 18-6 going into the top of the ninth inning but the Bull scored nine runs to cut the lead to 18-15. Head Coach Dan Simonds then turned to Jankowski who came in a slamed the Bulls come back attempt striking out both batters he faced. After a 30 minute layoff between game Jankowski came back to start game two of the doubleheader and went 5.1 innings giving up zero runs, allowing only two hits and striking out seven.

MAC West Division Player of the Week
Dave Reynolds, Northern Illinois, First Baseman
Junior, Orland Park, Ill. (Sandburg)

Reynolds helped the Huskies to a 3-2 record on the week with a .526 average, .583 on-base percentage, .895 slugging percentage, 10 hits, four doubles, eight runs, eight RBI, one homerun, three walks and a sacrifice fly. He now has 19 RBI in his current eight-game hitting streak in which he is 17-for-32. Against Illinois State, he went 3-for-5 with three runs, a homer, a HBP and two RBI. Versus Chicago State, he went 2-for-2 with two runs, a double and a walk. Against Toledo in game one, he went 3-for-4 with a run, three doubles, a sacrifice fly and tied a career-high with five RBI. In game two versus Toledo, he went 1-for-5 with a run and an RBI. In game three against Toledo, he went 1-for-3 with a run and two walks. He ranks second on the team now with 16 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games.

MAC West Division Pitcher of the Week
Steve Teno, Central Michigan
Senior, LaSalle, Ont. (Olney Central CC)

Teno picked up a win in game one of the Chippewas’ series against the Cardinals, to pace CMU past Ball State for second place in the West Division. Teno tossed 6.1 innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks while fanning nine to pick up the win.
