TYLER METCALF, WESTERN ILLINOIS

Metcalf collects Player of the Week honors after belting three home runs in two games against Kansas last week. The senior also had a 1.273 slugging percentage, four runs and four RBI, along with extending his hitting streak to nine games. His .455 average on the week raised his average on the season to .328.

Also nominated: Michael Tompkins, Centenary; Kyle Harrison, North Dakota State; Andrew Stafford, Oakland; Matt Sanford, Southern Utah.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MATT LAMOTHE, OAKLAND
FR., TROY, MICH./ATHENS HS

LaMothe earns the Pitcher of the Week award after recording the save in a 6-5 win over Notre Dame last week. In his 1.2 innings of work, LaMothe preserved the one-run lead without allowing a hit or run, while striking out three. The save was his first of the season and lowered his ERA to 3.28 on the year.
