AUBURN, Ala. – Brian Fletcher had a huge day at the plate collecting five hits, including a double and a homer, as the Orange Team claimed a 19-7 win on Sunday and the title of Fall World Series Champions. The Orange Team had won Game One, 5-2, but fell in Game Two, 9-3, before claiming the series on Sunday.
Fletcher, Justin Hargett and Casey McElroy were named tri-MVPs for the series. Hargett had three hits and three RBI in the series finale and finished the series with seven RBI while McElroy had two hits in Sunday’s game.
Freshman Dexter Price earned the win on Sunday for the Orange and he was followed on the hill by Ty Kelley and Hunter Morris.
