CBB Visit: FSU at BC (Game 3)

The College Baseball Blog made an appearance at Shea Field today to see the final game of the Boston College-FSU game on Saturday. The game was moved up to Saturday after torrential rains never came down in the Boston area. The Seminoles won Game 1 of the series 8-6 and Game 2 by a score of 4-3.

After a scoreless first inning, Tommy Oravetz led the second inning off with a solo home run off the Boston College scoreboard to put the Seminoles up 1-0. The Noles would continue to pile on in the inning with Oravetz hitting for the second time in the inning grabbing a three run double to have 4 RBI in the second inning which effectively ended the game. FSU starter Elih Villanueva kept the Eagles off the scoreboard in his six innings of work by allowing only five hits before being lifted. I left after the fifth inning due to other commitments and will provide a full article on the Seminoles in the coming week.
