The Lubbock Christian Chaparrals, ranked #2 in the NAIA, ran their winning streak to 27 games by defeating fifth-ranked Oklahoma City 8-3 and 6-0.
In the first game, the Chaparrals got all the runs they needed in the first inning, on a sacrifice fly by Rob Learned, a two-RBI single by Jaime Armendariz, and an RBI single by Chase Robertson. Gary Poynter got the win.
In the second game, Chris Holguin pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout, allowed five hits, and struck out 14, including five straight.
These two teams play one more game on Saturday, at 1 PM CDT. It will be webcast by the Texas Sports Radio Network.
