Bryant edges #1 ranked Mount Olive

The Bryant Bulldogs knocked off Number 1 ranked Mount Olive Trojans 5-4 on Thursday which was the first loss of the season for the Mount Olive snapping a 23 game winning streak. The Bulldogs were down 4-0 after three innings but were able to come back behind a strong pitching performance from freshmen pitchers Michael Ryan and David O’Brien. The Bulldogs scored three runs in the fifth innings to get back in the game behind hits from┬áMark Dondero, Dave Muscatello, and Jason Alexander. Bryant would score a run in the sixth inning to tie the game before taking the lead for good in the seventh inning when Pat O’Connor hit a double to drive in Jeff Vigurs with the winning run.
