What a difference a week makes for Texas. The last time out they could do no right against the Rice Owls tonight everything went the Longhorn way. There was even a 26 minutes sun delay as the sun was reflecting back into the batters from the Hilton Hotel. Texas put a 5 spot in the top of the 5th with 4 singles and a walk.
Rice scored their lone run in the bottom 6th and they did with two singles and a deep fly to to score their only run.
Texas close out their scoring with 3 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th.
Texas starts Big 12 play this weekend with the Kansas Jayhawks and the Rice Owls goes to Corpus Christi to take on Texas A&M CC tomorrow.
