Orange Coast College head coach John Altobelli killed in Kobe Bryant crash

Orange Coast College head coach John Altobelli was killed in the Kobe Bryant helicopter crash according to Orange County Register writer Steve Fryer.

Altobelli was highly regarded throughout the college baseball world serving as a head coach of the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps from 2012-2014 and his older son JJ had an outstanding career at Oregon.

Altobelli’s wife and daughter also passed away in the crash. This story is still coming in and will be updated as more information comes available.
