CARY, N.C. – The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team continued its Red vs. Blue scrimmage series Saturday with a 6-1 win for the Blue team at the National Training Complex. Justin Foscue (Mississippi State) had a three-RBI double and Casey Martin (Arkansas) hit two RBI doubles to lead the Blue.

Blue turned a 1-0 deficit to a 4-1 lead in the second inning with a four-run, two-out rally. Martin drove in Tanner Allen (Mississippi State), who had tripled, with a double to tie it up 1-1, then Foscue cleared the bases with a three-RBI double to the left-center gap two batters later.
The Blue team coasted from there with hitless outings from Burl Carraway (Dallas Baptist), who threw two innings, and Andrew Abbott (Virginia), who finished the game with a 1-2-3 frame and two strikeouts.

Martin added another RBI double in the sixth. Blue’s pitching staff struck out seven and allowed just three hits.

The Collegiate National Team is back at the National Training Complex for another Red vs. Blue game Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
