Two solid seasons with the Miami Hurricanes has right-handed pitcher Evan McKendry setup for big things in 2019.
As a freshman in 2017 he had a 4.10 ERA in 63.2 innings pitching, making seven starts and striking out a total of 64 batters with a WHIP of 1.32.
This past spring he made 14 starts for the Hurricanes and had a 3.52 ERA in 87 innings pitched with an incredible 114 strikeouts and a 1.29 WHIP.
Obviously, those strikeout totals are going to jump out at scouts. If he can continue to punch out guys at that rate, especially in the league he plays in, McKendry will be a high draft pick in 2019.
