Daniel Cabrera was selected in the 26th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres before deciding to fulfill his commitment to LSU.

The summer before his freshman season he hit .339 in the Cal Ripkin Lague over 124 at-bats with 22 runs scored, 7 doubles, 3 home runs, 21 RBI, 11 stolen bases, and a .420 on-base percentage.

He started 63 games as a freshman for LSU, hitting .315 over 219 at-bats with 38 runs scored, 18 doubles, 8 home runs, 54 RBI, and a .405 on-base percentage.

Cabrera spent most of the summer with the USA Collegiate National Team, but also picked up 11 at-bats in the Cape Cod League.

The 6-foot, 180 pound outfielder has the tools and power to stick in a corner outfield spot, but probably profiles better in the right field as a left-hander.

I expect big things for him at LSU in his sophomore season.
