ATLANTA — The fifth annual Atlanta Challenge, home-and-home series with Georgia and Georgia Tech, and eleven games against NCAA Regional teams highlight Georgia State’s 2019 baseball schedule, announced Tuesday by head coach Greg Frady.

“I’m excited about our 2019 schedule,” said Frady as he enters his 13th season at the helm and his 15th year at Georgia State. “It’s a mix of all different types of teams from different conferences and different part of the country. All of that makes for a great challenge, and we are working daily to prepare for it.

Frady’s squad returns 19 letterwinners, led by one of the top starting pitchers in the Sun Belt Conference and the nation in junior right-hander and Friday starter Hunter Gaddis. Other top returnees include starting pitcher Jake Rogers, two-way standout Brandon Bell, first baseman Ryan Glass and outfielder Luke Leonard. The Panthers have added 18 newcomers, of which 10 are freshmen.
