After looking completely out of it through four innings, the LSU bats finally came alive as the Tigers picked up a much-needed 8-5 win over Mississippi State in game three of the 2018 SEC Baseball Tournament.

Konnor Pilkington was great for Mississippi State early, but ran out of gas in the fifth and was lifted after giving up a pair of runs to make it a 3-2 Mississippi State advantage.

The Bulldogs would come right back to make it a 4-2 game, but then LSU tied it up in the bottom of the sixth. LSU would score two more in the seventh.

Mississippi State threatened in the eighth, but Taylor Peterson came in to get the Tigers out of a two-on, no out jam.

LSU scored two more in the bottom of the eighth to put it away for good.

Antoine Duplantis was the player of the game for LSU going 3-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
