PeteGreskoffBrown_thumb.jpgPROVIDENCE, R.I. – Head coach Grant Achilles of the Brown baseball program has announced the team’s schedule for the upcoming 2015 campaign.

Brown’s 43-game schedule includes a challenging non-conference lineup, games against two teams that participated in the 2014 NCAA Postseason and a full Ivy League slate.

“This year’s schedule pits us against quality non-conference opponents with the goal of heading into Ivy play with both experience and confidence,” said Achilles. “Our goal is to always compete for an Ivy championship, and we believe that this process helps our team continue to prepare for that goal.”

The Bears will play their first 22 games away from College Hill, starting with the season-opener on Friday, Feb. 27, when they open up a four-game set at South Alabama. Brown then heads up to Boston for a four-game series at Northeastern (Mar. 6-8), before travelling back down South on Friday, March 13 for the first of four contests at North Florida.

After a single midweek game at intrastate rival Rhode Island (Mar. 17), the Bears will then play a three-game set at Georgetown (Mar. 21-22) before back-to-back games at George Mason (Mar. 24-25).

From there, Brown will kick off the Ivy League schedule on Saturday, March 22 with two games at Princeton, before heading straight to Cornell for a doubleheader the next day.

The Bears will kick off a 10-game homestand on Tuesday, March 31 when they welcome Ocean State rival Bryant to Murray Stadium. Bryant went 42-16 overall in 2014 and qualified for its second straight NCAA Regional Tournament.

Brown jumps right back into Ivy play on Saturday, April 4 with a pair of games against reigning league champion Columbia, before playing host to Penn for a doubleheader to close out the weekend. After another midweek contest against UMass-Lowell (Apr. 8), the Bears wrap up the homestand with a four-game series against Harvard (Apr. 11-12).

The Bears will then travel to Worcester on Tuesday, April 14 for a doubleheader at Holy Cross, before continuing the seven-game road swing with four games at Dartmouth (Apr. 18-19) and a single midweek tilt against UMass-Lowell at LaLacheur Park (Apr. 21).

Brown will wrap up the Ivy League schedule on Apr. 24-25 with a four-game home-and-home series against Yale.
