OhioStateHuddleFeaturedCOLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team released its 2015 schedule Wednesday. The Buckeyes will play 30 home games at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium, while 15 contests are against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams.

“Once again I feel that we have put together a schedule that will allow us to compete nationally,” head coach Greg Beals said. “With this strength of schedule, if we win our share of games, it will put us in position to represent The Ohio State University in the national tournament. Pre-conference we have concentrated more on the three-game series as opposed to the tournament format we have done in the past. These opponents will all be returning to Columbus in the future.”

Ohio State opens the season Feb. 13-15 at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., with contests against Pittsburgh, George Mason and Iowa. Three-game road series at Florida Atlantic Feb. 20-22, UAB Feb. 27-March 1 and Western Kentucky March 6-8 follow before the Buckeyes open their home slate against IPFW March 10. Evansville comes to Columbus March 13-15 before a pair of home games against Rider March 17-18 and the Big Ten-opening series against Michigan State March 20-22 in Columbus.

After single games against Toledo March 24 and Akron March 25, Ohio State travels to new Big Ten member Rutgers March 27-29. A 10-game homestand starts March 31 against Ohio, followed by a three-game set against Penn State April 3-5; single games against Dayton April 7 and Kent State April 8; UNLV comes to Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium for a series April 10-12 before a single game against 2014 College World Series participant Louisville concludes the stretch April 14.

The Buckeyes travel to Lincoln, Neb., for a three-game series against the Huskers April 17-19 before a pair of home contests against Morehead State April 21-22 and another road series against Northwestern April 24-26. May opens with a home series against Illinois May 1-3, followed by single contests at Miami May 5 and Cincinnati May 6. Ohio State welcomes another new Big Ten member, Maryland, to Columbus May 8-10 and wraps up its home schedule against Marshall May 12 before traveling to reigning Big Ten champion Indiana May 14-16 to close out the regular season.

The Big Ten Tournament is set for May 21-24 at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn.
