MANHATTAN, Kan. – In conjunction with the Mayor’s Holiday Parade, the Kansas State Baseball team collected food and money for the Flint Hills Food Breadbasket earlier this month.

The team, which was part of the December 5 parade that culminated with the lighting of the mayor’s Christmas tree just west of the Aggieville Business District, walked the parade route to collect nonperishable food items and donations for the breadbasket.

The parade was one of many activities the baseball team participated in this fall as they also volunteered their time at local elementary schools, the Boys and Girls Club and Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community.
