UMES completes Coaching Staff

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Head coach Will Gardner has announced his additions to the coaching staff for the 2012 season. John O’Neil joins the University of Maryland Eastern Shore as an assistant coach plus Luis Mena returns to serve as a student assistant for the Hawks.

2010 MEAC Preseason Coaches Poll

MEACLogo The MEAC Conference announced its 2010 pre-season baseball award winners on Wednesday. The B-CU Wildcats were named the unanimous pick to win the team championship for a fifth straight season.

Wildcat sophomore LHP Ali Simpson was named the pre-season pitcher of the year and senior C. J. Lauriello was named the co-player of the year in the voting by conference head baseball coaches and sports information directors.

UMES to start Fall Series on Friday

BryanChaikowskyUMES PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Head coach Will Gardner and the UMES baseball team announced the dates for the Hawks’ annual Maroon-Grey World Series Tuesday.

The series is slated to begin Nov. 6 and run through Nov. 13. The best-of-seven event is designed to cap off the non-traditional workout period for UMES. The members of each side are chosen by team captains.
