Top 100 Countdown: 94. Andrew Stumph (Texas State)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 94 in Texas State junior Andrew Stumph. The 6’0 210 pound catcher out of Katy, Texas had an outstanding prep career at Katy High School. He picked up four letters under Tom McPherson. He was named All-Greater Houston Co-Newcomer of the Year as a freshman in 2006 as he set a school record with 51 RBIs. He also earned three-time all-state honors and all-American honorable mention in 2008 and 2009 while being named 2009 district MVP. Continue reading Top 100 Countdown: 94. 2011 Baseball America Top Prospects for Summer Leagues and Team USA

DURHAM, N.C.–The Southeastern Conference, which has produced college baseball’s last three national champions, dominated Baseball America’s top prospects lists for 20 college summer leagues and Team USA, which have been released at BaseballAmerica.com. The SEC leads all conferences with 24 players on the lists, followed by the Pacific-12 (22 players), the Big 12 (18 players) and the Atlantic Coast (17). 2010 Baseball America Top Prospects for Summer Leagues and Team USA

BaseballAmericaCover DURHAM, N.C.–The Pacific-10 Conference dominated Baseball America’s top prospects lists for 18 summer college leagues and Team USA, which have been posted at BaseballAmerica.com. The Pac-10 leads all conferences with 30 players on the lists and six players ranking as the No. 1 prospects in their respective leagues.

Victoria Generals Win 2010 TCL Championship!

The Victoria Generals won the 2010 Texas Collegiate League Championship on Saturday night by beating the East Texas Pump Jacks 10-2 in Game 2 of the best-of-three championship series. The Generals won Game 1 on Friday night in Kilgore 6-5 before returning home for the win on their home field, Riverside Stadium in Victoria, to seal the championship on Saturday night.
