College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 17 with Alabama senior Taylor Dugas, The Lafayette, Louisiana, native attended Teurlings Catholic High School where he was a four year starter for head coach Mike Thibodeaux. In his high school career, he batted .518 (176 for 340) with 19 home runs and 159 RBI. His senior season saw him hit .640 (57 for 86) with 10 home runs, 38 RBI, 55 runs, 17 doubles and four triples while being named a Collegiate Baseball High School All-American, LBCA Player of the Year, first-team All-State by the LBCA, and won the Rebel of the Year Award at TCHS. CARY, N.C. — Blue jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Red squad 6-1 Thursday night in Game 3 of the Collegiate National Team (CNT) Trials at the National Training Complex (NTC).
With the win the Blue team improves to 1-1-1, while the Red falls to 1-1-1.

CARY, N.C. — Sophomore’s Jackie Bradley, Jr. (South Carolina) and Drew Maggi (Arizona State) combined for six of the Blue squads 10 hits in the second game of the Collegiate National Team (CNT) Trials at the National Training Complex (NTC). The nine-inning affair ended in a five-all tie when Peter O’Brien (Bethune-Cookman) singled home a pair of runs in the eighth frame.
Trailing 5-3 with one out in the eighth Maggi drew a walk, which was followed by a single off the bat of Bradley, Jr. Both runners advanced on a strikeout and trotted home on O’Brien’s lone hit of the evening back up the middle.
