Stetson releases 2013 Schedule

The Stetson baseball team will be loaded with new faces for the 2013 season, but the schedule the Hatters will face in coach Pete Dunn’s 34th season will be as challenging as ever.
The 22 opponents on the Hatters’ schedule for the spring come from 11 conferences and, as a group, averaged 30 victories during the 2012 season. But, most importantly for a young Stetson team, 38 of the 56 games on the schedule will be played in DeLand at Melching Field. Read the rest of this entry »
Brian Pruitt named Assistant Coach at Stetson

Breaking down the CCBL All-Stars using Sabermetrics
Beyond the Box Score, a SB Nation blog, has broken down the CCBL All-Stars using Sabermetrics. Glenn DuPaul was able to calculate weighted on base average and OPS+ but was not able to calculate in park adjustments. DeLand, Fla. – Stetson Head Baseball Coach Pete Dunn unveiled the 2012 schedule for his defending Atlantic Sun Conference regular season champion Hatters on Wednesday. The 56-game slate features 16 contests against fellow 2010 NCAA Tournament teams, 34 home games at Melching Field, the first matchup with five-time national champion Miami since 2007 (150th overall vs. the Hurricanes) and the return of the A-Sun Championships to Melching Field.
