CBD Site Update and Help Wanted

CBDSmallLogo.jpgWe need some help for the 2013 season as we are a little over 50 days until the start of the season as we are going through a little bit of a reorganization. I am in the process of taking a back seat over the next year and a half as I have decided to focus on my education as I will begin an MBA program in January and expect to graduate in the spring of 2014. CBD Wants You!

College Baseball Daily is currently looking for players to do our player blogs for the 2011-2012 season. Last season, we had an outstanding group led by Vanderbilt’s Drew Fann. This season we have had only one commitment for the season in URI’s Mike Le Bel and currently looking for a couple of more players who are looking to get some experience in writing and want to use their creative skills. Since I also contribute to Inside Lacrosse, I thought I would share probably the best player blogger in the history of the industry in Michigan’s Pat Stansik who went above and beyond anything I could imagine. I highly recommend checking out his last blog which is available by clicking here.

Wait, you don’t play? We are also looking for game reporters to supplement our coverage this year which could include features, game coverage, or other projects throughout the season.  Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wanted to take this chance to say thanks to all our great fans of this site since we started back in 2005. Over the last year, we have seen great growth with the excellent staff that I have been able to add this year with Kat Cornetta and William Knox both joining us as senior writers. Both of them have been able to expand our coverage areas and bring some different opinions to the site.

CBD Season Preview Coming Soon

College Baseball Daily’s staff is currently putting together our 2011 season preview magazine which will be released in early January. We haven’t decided yet if we are going to make it a free publication or charge for access. I know most of our readers do not like to be paying for access to college baseball information but there is a ton of information that will be included from conference previews for every conference to our preseason All-American teams. Introducing College Baseball Daily

AnnouncerI know some of our users might know about this already but The College Baseball Blog will no longer exist.  We went through a domain name change over the weekend as the site will now be known as College Baseball Daily. The new domain is now (collegebaseballdaily.com) and we were able to bring over all of our previous posts from the previous domain. Please update your bookmarks to reflect the name change. The Twitter feed has also changed to CB_Daily. Sadly, we are not able to change the Facebook page’s name so it will still be the same. There will be a new logo made in the next week to reflect the name change.
