College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 72 with Clemson junior RHP Scott Firth. The Buffalo Grove, Illinois native attended Adlai E. Stevenson School where he picked up three letters. He was named all-conference as a sophomore, junior, and senior while being named All-State as a senior. He was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 36th round and 1076 overall selection. Cape League announces 2011 All-Star Team

CAPE COD, Mass. – Commissioner Paul Galop has announced the 2011 Cape Cod Baseball League All-League Team.

Heading the list of positional players is CCBL Most Valuable Player Travis Jankowski (Stony Brook) of Bourne, who hit .329 with 22 RBIs for the Bourne Braves, along with batting champion Stephen Piscotty (Stanford) of Yarmouth-Dennis, who hit .349, edging out fellow All-League catcher Dane Phillips (Oklahoma State) of Chatham by a mere .0002.
