Astros donate Van to Buddy Lamothe

Everyone knows the story behind Arizona State’s Cory Hahn or Georgia’s Johnathan Taylor suffering devastating neck injuries this past spring. There was another spinal cord injury that happened just before the 2011 MLB Draft to San Jacinto College’s Buddy Lamothe who suffered an injury which has severely hurt his mobility. Having already picked up top ballplayers from around the country, the East Texas Pump Jacks returned to Texas with their three most recent acquisitions. From nearby Panola College, the Pump Jacks have signed sought-after infielder Matt Juengel and towering pitcher Cam Sokalski, as well as highly-touted lefthander David Rollins from San Jacinto College.
