Sacred Heart releases 2013 Schedules

(Fairfield, CT) – The Sacred Heart Baseball team has announced its 2013 season schedule.

The two-time defending Northeast Conference champions begin their quest for a third straight down in the bayous of Louisiana. The Pioneers open at Louisiana-Lafayette for a three-game series March 1-3, move on to Baton Rouge for a doubleheader with Stephan F. Austin and perennial powerhouse Louisiana State University on March 6, then close the trip out with three at Nicholls State March 8-10. Read the rest of this entry »

2011 NCAA Regional Preview: Clemson (SC)

The 2011 Clemson (SC) Regional features two teams from the state of South Carolina join them in the host Clemson Tigers and Coastal Carolina. The other two teams hail from the Nutmeg state with Uconn and Sacred Heart. Clemson and Sacred Heart will face off on the opening day while Uconn and Coastal Carolina face off in the other opening round game.

Sacred Heart releases 2011 Schedule

The Sacred Heart Pioneers have released their 2011 schedule which opens up on February 25th for a three game series against Bethune-Cookman. The following weekend, they will start a eight game road trip through Louisiana playing Southeastern Louisiana for four games, LSU once, and the heading to Mississippi State.

2010 NEC Preseason Poll

Somerset, NJ – Wagner won a plurality of first-place votes to finish atop the 2010 Northeast Conference Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll. The league office released the results of the annual survey as a prelude to its 24th season on the diamond.

Flying high following the program’s first ever regular season conference crown last spring, the Seahawks received four top nods to finish one spot in front of defending NEC Tournament champion Monmouth and its two first-place votes.
